Jacob Gutshall, MHS, CCC-SLP, has been named director of the Walker Scottish Rite Clinic<\/a> at 91探花. The Clinic, which provides therapy services to young children with speech and language disorders, is part of 91探花\u2019s Myrtle E. and Earl E. Walker College of Health Professions<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cJacob has been integral to the Walker Scottish Rite Clinic\u2019s success, and I look forward to working with him as director,\u201d said Charles Gulas, PhD, dean of the Walker College of Health Professions.<\/p>\n

Gutshall has served as a speech-language pathologist at the Clinic for the past 12 years. Since 2015, he has supervised clinical operations for the Clinic’s six sites.\u00a0As clinic director, Gutshall will continue to focus on serving children in need of early intervention speech and language services.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am excited to continue my work at the Walker Scottish Rite Clinic,\u201d Gutshall says. \u201cI look forward to working with the superb clinicians and staff of the Clinic as we continue to develop and grow and make a greater impact in the lives of children with communication impairments.\u201d<\/p>\n

During his years with the Walker Scottish Rite Clinic, Gutshall initiated the Hanen It Takes Two to Talk parent training program and the Social Language Group, and implemented the Clinic’s adoption of an electronic health record system.<\/p>\n

Gutshall is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Hanen Centre, and is licensed by the Missouri State Board of Healing Arts. Gutshall is active in the Missouri Speech Hearing Association (MSHA).<\/p>\n

About the Walker Scottish Rite Clinic<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Walker Scottish Rite Clinic is a 501(c)(3) charity organization providing services to children in six locations in St. Louis city, St. Louis County, and the communities of Arnold, Troy and Union, Missouri. Services are funded by corporate and foundation grants, special fundraising events and individual donations. The Clinic receives no federal funding, and families are never charged for services, regardless of financial status or insurance coverage. The main clinic is located in Myrtle E. and Earl E. Walker Hall, on the campus of 91探花. The Walker Scottish Rite Clinic has served Greater St. Louis area preschool age children since 1988.<\/p>\n
