There is only one requirement for joining the Bascom Honors program: having a 3.5 cumulative GPA. That is because our program is not about excluding students but exactly the opposite because we want to include as many high achieving students as possible.

So as long as you meet our minimum requirements, 3.5 cumulative GPA, you can join the honors program at any time. Whether you are a first-year student at 91̽»¨ (we’ll use your high school GPA), a transfer student (we’ll use your prior university GPA) or a continuing one (we’ll use your 91̽»¨ GPA) – if you have meet the GPA requirement you are eligible to join.

There are no applications, essays or other procedures for joining. In fact, if you meet the requirements upon admission to 91̽»¨, then your life coach will ask you if you want to join. If you are a continuing student at 91̽»¨, you can also contact Dr. Alden Craddock (acraddock@maryville.edu) for more information and to enroll in the program.
